4 Year Old
Kindergarten

Penguin Group
Four-Year-Old Kindergarten provides children with access to a 15-hour educational program that supports their learning, development and confidence as they prepare for the transition to school.

Children are encouraged to be active participants in their own learning, making independent choices and contributing to program decisions. Their interests, experiences and ideas shape our dynamic, play-based program, which evolves in response to the children and their learning.

Through play, children are given the time and space to explore, create, imagine, communicate and problem-solve. They develop friendships, learn to work cooperatively and build the skills and dispositions that support the learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework.

Our program focuses on supporting children to:
-
develop confidence as learners
-
build effective communication skills
-
develop knowledge and understanding of the world around them
-
build a strong sense of identity
-
develop wellbeing and resilience
Incursions and excursions are an important part of our program, enriching children’s learning through experiences such as physical education, theatre, science, museum visits, safety education, environmental learning and guest speakers.

Our role as educators is to guide, scaffold and support each child along their learning journey — a role we value deeply and take great pride in.
