CHILD SAFETY
Child Safety at St Mary’s Pre-School
St Mary’s Pre-School is committed to child safety and is a Child Safe Organisation. The safety, wellbeing and dignity of every child is at the centre of all we do.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where all children feel protected, respected and heard.
St Mary’s Pre-School has zero tolerance for child abuse, racism or discrimination in any form. We uphold the rights of all children to feel and be safe at all times and actively support children to express and enjoy their cultural identities and rights.
To achieve and maintain a child-safe environment, St Mary’s Pre-School implements the following measures:
-
Child Safe Standards
We adopt and embed the Victorian Child Safe Standards through comprehensive policies, procedures and practices designed to prevent harm and protect children. -
Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS)
We comply with all legal obligations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme, including reporting any allegations, concerns or misconduct involving employees or volunteers in accordance with legislation.
Our educators, staff, volunteers and Committee of Management share a collective responsibility to create and maintain a culture of child safety where children’s voices are valued and their wellbeing is prioritised.
Working and Volunteering at St Mary’s Pre-School
All adults coming in to help at the Kinder will require a Volunteer's Working with Children Check. You can apply for your free WWCC here
